Grants and Foundations

The Virginia Science and Technology Campus Library is a Foundation Center Cooperating Collection.

The Virginia Science and Technology Campus Library is working in cooperation with the Foundation Center in Washington D.C. to offer resources that help non-profit organizations and individuals identify sources of grants and foundation funding.

Foundation Center


Available resources include:

Foundation Directory Online Professional
(available for in-house use only)
Provides fundraisers with access to searchable online databases of grantmakers, grants, companies and 990s

Foundation Grants to Individuals Online
(available for in-house use only)
Database of more than 6,500 foundation and public charity programs that fund students, artists, researchers, and other individual grant seekers.

Foundation Center
The Foundation Center's website provides online tutorials, training and tips on all areas of fund raising and philanthropy including proposal writing, budgeting, non-profit management and much more.

Research Guide on Grants

The Virginia Science and Technology Campus Library is open from 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Monday through Friday and from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM on Saturdays.

Visitors not affiliated with the George Washington University must present a picture ID and sign in at the entrance of Academic Building 2, located at 44983 Knoll Square, Ashburn, VA 20147, before proceeding up one floor to the Library in room 179.
