Gelman Library's Disabilities Awareness Month Celebration, October 27

Please join us Tuesday, October 27th at 11:30am to hear Professor Juliana Taymans speak on GW’s initiative to support youths with disabilities transition from high school, to college and employment.

Description:  In celebration of Disabilities Awareness Month, Gelman's Diversity Group is please to feature guest speaker, Professor Juliana Taymans, Special Education, Transition Special Education Program (GSEHD).  Professor Taymans will discuss C.I.T.Y. (Career Investigation for Transition Youth) Program, a partnership with the Kingsbury School, Washington, D.C., and George Washington University.  The program aims to help students with disabilities gain the skills needed to transition from high school onward to postsecondary education and employment.  Professor Taymans will be joined by Jessica Lux , Secondary School Program Kingsbury School,  and Jessica Queener, Transition Liaison and Research Assistant  Transition Special Education Program GSEHD. 

This event is free and open to all members of the University community. Refreshments will be served. Sponsored by Gelman Library Diversity Group diversity@gelman.gwu.edu
