Step 1
Find the book or journal you need in the ALADIN Catalog. Verify that the item is not available here at Gelman. If not, then click on the title of the book/journal you need for one of the libraries that has it. The item's "full record" opens.

Step 2
For a book, look at "Status" under "Availability" to make sure that it's not checked out. For a journal, look under "Library has" to make sure the year you need is available.

(To verify availability of GT and GM items, click on the item title to open the "full record". Next click on "Georgetown holdings" or George Mason holdings" respectively. Once you have verified availability, go back to the full record to initiate the request.)

Step 3
Next click on the yellow sticky note on the right "Request through Consortium Loan Services".

Step 4
Log in. On the request form, select the library where you would like to pick-up the book. Your “University ID” is your GWid or GWorld card barcode. For a journal article, fill in the boxes with all the requested data from the article. Finally, click “Submit Request.”

A confirmation message appears. You will receive an email when your book arrives and is ready for pick up at the Circulation Desk. You'll receive an article electronically linked from your MyALADIN account page.

You may return the book at Gelman or any of the other of the WRLC Consortium libraries. Articles are yours to keep.
