Find a Movie

Find a Movie                                                          watchit2_r1_c1.gif

Use it for: Finding a video or DVD at Gelman or Consortium libraries.

Why use it? Because you can watch hard-to-find titles and films required for your classes.

Step 1
Start at the top right of any Gelman Library website page. Making sure the Catalog tab is selected, type your title in the search box.  If your title starts with "the", "a", or "an", leave it out.

Step 2
You'll get results for all the libraries in the consortium. If you want to limit your results to GW, click on "Post Limit" and choose George Washington University. You can't borrow videos from other consortium libraries, but you can go and watch the videos at those libraries.

Step 3
All videos are located in the basement at Gelman (B02). Please refer to the website for particular borrowing privileges and for Media's hours.

You can also browse the whole media collection in Room B02.

Your movie is not at Gelman?

If it is available through the consortium, you can view it at the library that has it. As an alternative, you can request your movie through Interlibrary Loan and have it sent to Gelman, but you'll still have to watch it at the library.
