Use Google Scholar

Use it for: Finding the links between the results of a Google Scholar search and the GWU articles and books.

Why use it? Because you can get to the full text of many articles that you find through Google Scholar.

Your Goal: Open Google Scholar from inside ALADIN in order to 'turn on' all the links to the full text of articles.

Step 1
Go to ALADIN at http://aladin.wrlc.org.  (If you're off campus, log in as required.)

Step 2
On the ALADIN home page, click on 'Databases by Title'. (It's in the middle column.)

Step 3
On the next page a small horizontal alphabet will open. Click on the letter "G".

Step 4
On the next page, scroll down to Google Scholar and click on it to open it.

Step 5
Search for your topic using Google’s basic or advanced search. To find the full text when it is available:

  1. Click on the FindIt@GWU Libraries link next to the result you want.
  2. On the new page, click on the "Go" button to get the full-text article online or to find the book in the ALADIN catalog.
