Borrowing Media Materials from GW's Collection

GW students, faculty, and staff can now check out material from the Media Resources Collection. To check an item out, present the item and your GWorld card at the Media Desk.

The Media Resources Center is unable to hold media items for patrons. If faculty members need items placed on reserve, please fill out the online reserve form to ensure that media items are available when needed.

Please note: Teaching Assistants serving as proxy for faculty should have a Faculty Authorized Borrowing (FAB) card or a written request from the faculty member on departmental letterhead. FAB cards may be obtained at the Gelman Library Circulation Desk.

Borrowing Media Materials from Consortium Libraries

Faculty may request media materials from consortium libraries. To borrow media materials from consortium libraries, please place an Interlibrary Loan request for the title you need. Faculty members who anticipate using borrowed media materials more than once should contact their collection development librarian for possible purchase.
Please note: consortium media materials are not eligible to be placed on reserve.
Please note: Students and staff cannot borrow media materials from consortium libraries.

Group Viewing Rooms

Group viewing rooms are available first come, first serve in the Media Resources Center. Please return all media items to the Media Resources Center, and remove all personal items from the rooms when your group is finished.
