The Special Collections Research Center is proud to house the records of the National Education Association (NEA).
The Special Collections Research Center is proud to house the records of the National Education Association (NEA). The NEA is the largest labor organization in the United States numbering 3 million members. These materials provide an opportunity to study and revere the traditions of an organization with a rich history of being strong and pioneering advocates for public schools.
The approximately 3,000 linear feet of materials include files, reports, publications, books, audio recordings, videos and photographs covering over 130 years of this organization. Currently these records are being arranged and described to facilitate public access for researchers throughout the world. This webpage is being implemented to help communicate the state of the collection’s readiness to the public and highlight interesting and unique materials located in the collection.
